Recommended Safaris
(Middle Market)
|
| We do not do scheduled safaris.
Each safari is carefully planned to take into account the needs of our
clients, however as some of our clients are new to Africa we display here
for their convenience suggested itineraries for their assistance. Herewith
are some suggestions that have proved popular to our clients ranging from
one to six day trips.
Obviously we will tailor make safaris for those clients
that have more definite ideas about where they want to visit.

Game drives only

Game drives only
|
|
| For those with time constraints we can
get you to the game reserve for a few hours just so that you can sample
the delights of what are on offer and plan a longer trip the next
time. Whilst the best parts of the day are missed (the early morning
and late afternoon) you may be lucky and encounter elephant and/or
lion – who can tell? It is probable that you will however see
amongst other animals at least two of the “Big Five.” |
| Two Day Lion King |

Game drives and bush walks

Game drives and bush walks
|
|
| Typical two day one night safari would
be as follows:-
Arrive around 10h30 at the game reserve and take
a slow game drive to the main camp to regularize the booking at
12h30/13h00 hours. Lunch at the bush lodge or camp and then relax
for an hour taking in the ambience of your surroundings before heading
off on an afternoon game drive. We stay out till dusk with a view
to finding predators on the hunt. When we return the camp fires
are burning and so as soon as you are ready you join us around the
campfire and chill out whilst we sip local beverages and await the
readiness of the fire for the intended barbecue.
In the bushveld the stars form a total canopy over the
sky on a clear night and you will hear the sounds of the wild- a distant
hyena calling or if they are in the area the phenomenal sound of the lion
on the move or the alarm call of the resting Baboons – having noticed
the “Prince of Darkness” (the leopard) in close proximity.
This is Africa at night.
In the morning we rise very early and gather for a quick
cup of coffee before the early morning walk in the wilds with an armed
game guard. This is different to yesterday – you now have the opportunity
to meet the “Big Five” on foot – awareness takes on
a whole new meaning! You will I guarantee surprise yourself here. It is
amazing how well people react to such situations. We fully recommend that
you avail yourself of this opportunity. |
| Three Day Jumbo Jaunt |
 |
 |
 |
| Game drives, bush walks, Zulu
Cultural village and boat cruise |
|
| This tour follows along the lines of the two
day trip except there is an extra night and day in the bush and a visit
to a Zulu Cultural Village and a two hour boat cruise on St.Lucia Estuary
or on the Hluhluwe river in the Park to view hippo and crocodile is included.
These excursions are of course optional as some clients prefer to stay in
the Park to spend the extra time game viewing. |
| Four Day Call of the Wild |
|
|
Game drives, bush walks, Zulu Cultural village and
boat cruise
|
This tour includes three overnight stays in
either a bush lodge or bush camp in the heart of the bush. Unlimited
game drives and walks in the bush – the boat cruise and visit
to a Zulu Cultural Village are optional. Spending the extra night
in the bush gives one that much more opportunity for possible sightings
of the more elusive animals such as cheetah, leopard and black rhino.
OTHER RECOMMENDED OPTIONS:
Another option for smaller groups - such as 2 clients - is to stay overnight in Chalet accommodation at the Hilltop Camp, Hluhluwe Game Reserve on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis, where most meals are enjoyed at their fine Restaurant.
For larger groups, Cottage type accommodation is sometimes more convenient. |
